- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella (plus extra for frosting, if desired)
METHOD
- Preheat the Oven- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients – In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients – In another bowl, combine the milk, oil, egg, vanilla, and Nutella. Mix until smooth.
4. Combine Mixtures- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined
5. Fill Cupcakes Liners- Fill in cupcake mold and each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
6. Bake- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
7. Frost- If desired, frost with additional Nutella or your favorite frosting.
